Many of the model photographs you see on our website are taken from the actual model that was made for a specific customer. However, to increase our range and to offer our customers a wider availability of choices we have included a computer generated image of this particular aircraft which has been transformed into a life like desktop model. The real model you will receive will be a beautiful hand made replica based upon the actual real life plane shown at the top of the page. It will be made to the same level of detail as the smaller pictures of similar models that you see directly above. Where the photo shown depicts a gear down or flaps down configuration we will make the final model in a gear up and flaps retracted configuration. If you specifically want another type of configuration please let us know and we will quote for the additional.

The Champion model airplane is made of the finest kiln dried renewable mahogany wood (commonly known as Lauan or Meranti) which has undergone many stages of carving and meticulous and careful sanding giving the beautiful finished museum quality masterpiece. After hand carving several stages of fine sanding, between primer coats, produce a silky smooth finish ready for final painting. Our skilled artists using ultra-fine brushes, paint the nose art, stripes and markings. A final coat of clear lacquer provides lasting protection to the exquisite finish.
